
Harvey's career began as a comedian. Harvey started his career performing as a comedian during the late 1980s. He was host of Showtime at the Apollo, and The Steve Harvey Show on The WB. Following his appearance on his own show, the Kings of Comedy Tour, he was featured in The Original Kings of Comedy. The last stand-up comedy show he performed was on in 2012. Harvey is the host of each of Family Feud and Celebrity Family Feud, holding this role from 2010. Harvey was also host of Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young and Steve Harvey's Funderdome. He's also an author and has published four novels which include the best-selling Act Like a Lady Think Like a Man. Harvey founded Steve Harvey Global, an entertainment company that houses the production firm East 112 along with other ventures. Harvey also founded Family Feud Africa and was an investor in Anthem Sports and Entertainment's purchase of HDNet. Marjorie Harvey as well as Steve Harvey were founding members of The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit charity that has a focus on youth education. He's won seven daytime Emmy Awards as well as two Marconi Award winners, and 14 NAACP Image Award Winners in different categories.
